The iNWEKA iVDT has been designed for checking the pack integrity of the blister / strip or suitable packs during the packing and filling process.

In this method, the blister / strip or suitable pack is immersed in a Methylene blue dye solution containing in a desiccators. The blister / strip or suitable pack should be fully covered with the methylene blue dye solution. For that purpose, position the immersion disc onto the blister / strip or suitable pack which is delivered with the desiccators as a standard supply.

The desiccators is connected to the iVDT unit by means of a quick coupling. A vacuum pump is used to evacuate the test chamber to a defined vacuum. Once the preset Vacuum has been reached, the timer starts automatically and the vacuum is held for the predetermined time interval, prior to being released and then allowed to equilibrate.

Any leaking cells are evacuated when the vacuum is applied. When the vacuum is released, this process is reversed and the dye is drawn into damaged samples if any such that they can be immediately identified during visual inspection.

iNWEKA Leak Test Apparatus to verify the function of blister packaging machines. The unit is equipped with a vacuum pump, pressure -100 mm of Hg to -630 mm of Hg and time up to 9999 sec. are adjustable by the membrane keypad.
